As part of its ongoing efforts to modernize and develop its services, and to strengthen partnerships with international organizations, the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) has held a series of coordination meetings with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). These meetings come in alignment with the second phase (2026–2028) of Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision and the priorities related to the vocational training sector. The discussions focused on areas of collaboration and ways to support the Corporation in enhancing its role as a leading provider of vocational training in Jordan.
The meetings resulted in an agreement to provide strategic support to the VTC, aimed at enhancing its organizational and technical readiness, enabling it to efficiently meet labor market demands, contribute to increased employment and self-employment opportunities, and position the Corporation as the first choice for job seekers and employers alike.
The cooperation framework between both parties includes several key pillars, most notably the development of the Corporation’s structure in line with the requirements of the Economic Modernization Vision, and the creation of a business model for partnerships with the private sector to establish specialized academies that promote financial sustainability and enhance the Corporation’s self-generated revenues. The agreement also includes full support for the Corporation’s digital transformation, aiming to make it the first paperless government entity in Jordan, capable of providing real-time data to support decision-making processes. Additionally, the agreement seeks to upgrade the quality, geographic reach, and relevance of training programs to better meet labor market needs.
A formal event is scheduled for Thursday, August 5, 2025, at one of the Corporation’s training institutes, during which an agreement will be signed by H.E. the Minister of Labor, Chairman of the VTC Board, along with representatives from both the Vocational Training Corporation and UNICEF.
The Vocational Training Corporation affirms that this partnership marks a qualitative leap forward in enhancing the efficiency of the vocational training sector in the Kingdom, and in empowering Jordanian youth with the skills needed to enter the labor market with confidence and competence—ultimately contributing positively to economic and social development
