At the 10th Vocational Industrial Employment Fair, the Vocational Training Corporation continues supporting its graduates from training to the labor market
The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) participated in the 10th Vocational Industrial Employment Fair in East Amman, organized by the East Amman Industrial Investors Association on Thursday at the Amman Grand Hall in Al Hussein Youth City. The event aimed to introduce the Corporation’s training programs and services, engage directly with its graduates, and create broader opportunities to connect them with private-sector institutions and companies and available job opportunities.
The Corporation’s participation in the fair reaffirms that its role does not end when training is completed and a certificate is obtained. Rather, it extends into the post-graduation stage by supporting graduates in their transition to the labor market through the Graduate Employment Unit, which follows up with graduates and connects them with occupations, jobs, and opportunities available within private-sector establishments.
The Graduate Employment Unit works to establish continuous communication channels with graduates and employers, identify labor-market needs, and connect VTC graduates with employment opportunities that match their skills and specializations, thereby strengthening their transition from training to employment.
As part of the Corporation’s post-graduation follow-up, graduates were contacted and invited to participate in the event, giving them the opportunity to meet employers directly and learn about available jobs and occupations. This may open a new pathway toward employment opportunities suited to their skills and specializations.
The Corporation’s approach is supported by a broad partnership with the private sector, comprising more than 4,000 partners. These partnerships go beyond providing employment opportunities for graduates; they begin with identifying labor-market needs and the occupations in highest demand, contributing to the development of training programs accordingly, and continue through the delivery of practical and technical training and preparing graduates to enter the labor market.
This integration between training and employers’ needs has resulted in high employment rates across several sectors and training programs, reaching 100% in some cases, while employment rates in certain sectors reached 62%. This highlights the importance of aligning training with actual labor-market demand.
The Corporation’s participation in the fair provided job seekers and graduates with a direct opportunity to learn about the needs of industrial companies, explore in-demand jobs and occupations, communicate with employers, and learn more about the vocational and technical training pathways offered by the Corporation across various fields.
Through this approach, the Vocational Training Corporation continues to build an integrated system that starts by identifying the skills required by the labor market, moves through training in those skills, and does not end at graduation, but extends to supporting graduates on their journey toward employment.
