The Vocational Training Corporation was established in 1976 to qualify young people to acquire the skills required in the labor market and to be the first incubator for training in Jordan. Our vision was created in accordance with the royal directives and under the close follow-up of His Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, with the aim of preparing young people to meet the needs of the labor market. In addition to training current employees, raising their competencies, keeping pace with technological developments, developing training programs, and improving the training system in general.
The Foundation includes 30 training institutes, 265 workshops, and 128 programs accredited by the Vocational and Technical Skills Development Authority, and its capacity includes 10,000 trainees at once during the training year.
To achieve our goals and vision, 5 main strategies were worked on:
•Developing Current programs:
It includes developing the programs currently in place at the Foundation’s institutes, to be in line with the requirements of the current labor market and technical development, in partnership with factories and companies in the private sector.
•Designing and developing new programs:
Training programs are designed and developed that include skills for the future, including skills for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the green growth economy. This is done in partnership with the private sector, working to determine the future skills required in the labor market based on local and global trends, and beginning to train and select trainees according to specific criteria.
•Digitalization of services:
It includes the digital transformation of the training system, and the digitization of all the organization’s operations and services in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and in accordance with government directions and the public sector modernization map.
•Creating partnerships:
Centers of excellence are being created in partnership with the private sector, public and private universities, donors and international organizations, to provide quality training services to male and female youth in all governorates.
•Competency exploitation and development:
It includes raising the efficiency of trainers in line with the skills required in the labor market to contribute to ensuring the quality of training, by involving them in specialized training courses in partnership with the private sector and partner donors.
We affirm our keenness to work with youth in all governorates, and to enable partnerships with all institutions in the public and private sectors, and local and international civil society institutions. Our team is always at your service, to enhance effective and participatory communication.
