Tasks of the Communications and Information Technology Directorate include the following:
- Study, analyze and build databases and software that are fast, effective, efficient, relational and sustainable to the requirements of the strategic plan of the VTC's work and the new projects.
- Build a network of internal and external communications, the Internet and an intranet that are characterized by rapid, cost-effective response, efficiency, connectivity and sustainability to the requirements of the VTC's work.
- Develop and implement e-government strategies and the VTC's website and ensure the implementation, activation and maintenance of projects resulting from those strategies to achieve institutional goals, and permanent coordination with all stakeholders in relation to e-government and its programs.
- Modernize and develop computer equipment, networks and electronic exchanges, set technical specifications and study them within the standards of quality and accountability.
- Provide a deep-rooted organizational environment for a culture of excellence.
