Article 1
This law shall be known as the Vocational Training Corporation Law of 1985 and shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official newspaper .
Article 2
The following words and phrases used in this Law shall have the meanings assigned to them below unless the evidence indicates otherwise.
Minister:

Minister of Labor.

Minister Corporation:

Vocational Training Corporation.
|
Council:
|
The Council of Directors of the Vocational Training Corporation formed in accordance with the provisions of this law.
|
General Director:
|
General Director of the Vocational Training Corporation.
|
Training levels:
|
The set of technical specifications to be met in a particular occupation for the purposes of determining the level of
training in this profession, training plans, and examinations.

Article 3
(A) An institution called (Vocational Training Foundation) shall be established in the Kingdom, linked to the Minister and shall have a legal personality with financial and administrative independence within the provisions of this law and the regulations issued pursuant to it, and it may sue and be sued in this capacity and may be represented in judicial proceedings by the Attorney General or any other person for this purpose, and it shall have its own independent budget.
(B) The main center of the Foundation is the city of Amman, and it may open centers in any other place in the Kingdom.
Article 4
The Corporation shall do the following: -
(A) Providing vocational training opportunities to prepare the technical workforce and raise its efficiency in various specialties and levels of non-academic vocational training and work to diversify vocational training, including
1- Apprenticeship for young people and adults to practice long-term organized training, taking into account the legislation in force.
2- Training workers in institutions in specialized training centers and at their work sites for the purpose of raising their competencies.
3- Intensive and rapid training for various professions.
4- Training in the fields of occupational safety and health.
(B) Providing guidance services to support the establishment and development of small and medium enterprises.
Article 5
The affairs of the institution and the management of its business: -
(A) Council of Directors.
(B) General Director.
(C) An executive authority.
Article 6
(A) The Council of Directors shall consist of: -
1- The Minister
2- Director General
3- A representative of the Ministry of Labor
4- A representative of the Ministry of Education
5- A representative of the Ministry of Public Works
6- A representative of the Ministry of Planning
7- A representative of the Engineers Association.
8- A representative of the Amman Chamber of Industry
9- A representative of the General Federation of Labor Associations
10- Two representatives from the private sector to be nominated by the Minister
(B) With the exception of the Chairman and the General Director, the other members of the Board shall be appointed by a decision of the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of the Minister, and the term of the Council
shall be renewable for two years.
(C) The remuneration of the members of the Board of Directors shall be determined by a decision of the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of the Minister.
Article 7
The Council shall be authorized with the following powers and tasks: -
(A) Setting the general policy of the organization.
(B) Preparing plans and programs for vocational training.
(C) Studying the need for vocational training in various institutions.
(D) Approving the general bases for vocational training levels and instructions, necessary to carry out the tasks of the institution.
(E) Preparing the necessary draft regulations.
(F) Approving the draft annual budget and submitting it to the Council of Ministers for confirmation.
