Tasks of the Legal Consulting Unit include the following:

Provide legal advice.
Prepare the legal drafting of the administrative decisions issued by the relevant department in order to avoid appealing a case to the competent authorities.
Provide legal advice on Arab and international agreements for topics related to VTC's activities.
Prepare forms of contracts and agreements related to the work of the department that shall be signed with any other party, or participate in their preparation, and provide legal advice on their implementation.
Prepare draft of laws, regulations and instructions necessary for the work of the VTC.
Take the initiative to clarify the gaps in the applicable laws, regulations, and instructions by applying them to reality and propose the necessary amendments.
Take the initiative to request an interpretation of the provisions of laws and regulations that are masked in vagueness in the application or differing opinions about their application, and follow-up on this with the Prime Ministry and the Legislation Bureau.
Keep and document the legal references necessary for the work of the VTC, such as laws, regulations, instructions, explanations, periodicals, legal encyclopedias, and the Official Gazette.
Prepare the disciplinary case list, organize, and secure all the documents that need to be attached to the case that will be filed to the Disciplinary Board.
Prepare and organize all the necessary documents needed to refer the offensive employee to the Public Prosecutor, whose administrative violation involved a criminal offense.
Provide the public prosecution, the administrative public prosecution, and the civil public attorney department with all the evidence, data, references and legal justifications related to the cases filed by or against the VTC in the competent courts.
Head investigation bodies or participate in them as the case may be related to violations attributed to employees, complaints submitted by them or against them, or in cases and matters that the VTC considers forming an investigation committee for that purpose.
Study the inquiries of the Audit Bureau from the legal point of view and submit the necessary recommendations to the competent authority.
Participate with the Legislation Bureau in the initial discussion of draft laws and regulations.
