VTC–Youth Leaders MoU on Youth Empowerment

• Vocational Training Corporation and Jordanian Sports and Youth Movement Pioneers Authority Sign MoU to Enhance Vocational Training and Youth Empowerment

• Developing Training Opportunities, Engaging Youth, and Connecting Them to Employment

The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) and the Jordanian Sports and Youth Movement Pioneers Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen institutional cooperation in vocational training and youth development. The MoU aims to enhance joint training programs, exchange information and expertise, and strengthen private-sector partnerships to support employment opportunities.

The MoU was signed by Eng. Raafat Mousa Al-Sawafineh, Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, and Dr. Ghazi Al-Tayeb, Chairman of the Jordanian Sports and Youth Movement Pioneers Authority.

The agreement seeks to expand cooperation between the two sides and make use of their available expertise and resources, providing youth with quality vocational training and connecting acquired skills with labor market needs and employment opportunities.

The cooperation includes joint training programs across various professional levels and areas of mutual interest, as well as the mutual use of available facilities and equipment for training purposes.

The MoU also provides for the exchange of labor market data and information on training needs and requirements, supporting private-sector engagement and creating employment opportunities for target groups.

The two sides will also cooperate in awareness campaigns and joint activities to promote the importance of vocational training and encourage youth and local communities to enroll in training programs, with a focus on linking training to real employment opportunities.

The MoU further includes participation in workshops, seminars, conferences, and events organized by both parties to facilitate knowledge exchange and strengthen ongoing cooperation.

Building on the VTC’s role in providing vocational training and preparing skilled professionals for the labor market, and the Authority’s role in transferring the experience and expertise of sports and youth movement pioneers to younger generations, both sides agreed to strengthen coordination and cooperation, exchange knowledge and expertise, implement joint training programs and activities, and support youth by equipping them with the skills and experience needed for the labor market.
