Tasks of the Directorate of Financial Affairs

The Finance Directorate is responsible for preparing the institution’s annual estimated budget and reallocating appropriations in a manner that supports the institution’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.

Preparing and maintaining the documentary cycle for all financial transactions related to the institution and its training institutes, in accordance with applicable legislation, including the proper organization, classification, and archiving of financial records.

Monitoring expenditures against the institution’s annual budget and ensuring the optimal utilization of allocated resources to achieve institutional objectives.

Assessing the institution’s financial position and providing technical advice on financial matters, including resource optimization, financing, expenditure monitoring, and cost-control measures.

Monitoring grants and financial contributions provided by donor agencies to support institutional projects, ensuring compliance with the requirements and standards of each donor.

Collecting revenues and receivables due to the institution.

Preparing and reviewing the institution’s final accounts and financial statements.

Coordinating with oversight and regulatory bodies, including the Audit Bureau and the Internal Audit Unit, and providing all required data, documents, and information accurately and in a timely manner.

Establishing, developing, and maintaining the databases required for the Directorate’s operations in coordination with the Information Technology and Digital Transformation Directorate and the Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS) at the Ministry of Finance.

Providing senior management and relevant stakeholders with periodic financial reports and analyses.

Ensuring the continuous development and maintenance of financial databases and information systems in coordination with the Software Development Section.
