The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) announced the opening of electronic admission and registration for the first training cycle, starting Sunday, August 30, 2026, through the Corporation’s electronic registration platform. This initiative is part of VTC’s ongoing efforts to expand access to vocational training opportunities and develop a training system that responds to labor market requirements and keeps pace with the needs of various economic sectors.
Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, Eng. Raafat Al-Sawafeen, said that opening registration for VTC’s training programs reflects the Corporation’s commitment to providing quality vocational training opportunities for young men and women across the Kingdom. He emphasized that VTC continues to develop its training system to strengthen its alignment with labor market needs and the requirements of different occupations and economic sectors.
Al-Sawafeen added that the distribution of VTC’s institutes and Centers of Excellence across the Kingdom is a key factor in expanding access to vocational training. He noted that opening registration at 34 institutes and Centers of Excellence provides applicants with a wide range of training programs and specializations that match their interests and capabilities and offer diverse career pathways.
The Vocational Training Corporation offers more than 140 training programs across its training system. The current registration cycle includes a range of programs within several occupational families, including Information Technology, Healthcare, Agricultural Occupations, Tourism and Hospitality, Food Industries, Pharmaceutical Industries, Energy and Environmental Processing, Occupational Safety and Health, Electricity, Vehicle Mechanics and Electrical Systems, Metal Forming and Mechanical Maintenance, Carpentry and Interior Decoration, Hairdressing and Beauty, Electronics, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Plumbing, Handicrafts, Textile and Leather Industries, Printing Occupations, and other fields.
Training Programs Evolving in Line with Labor Market Needs
As part of VTC’s efforts to align training outcomes with labor market needs, the Corporation continues to develop its training programs and introduce around 30 new programs in a number of vital and high-priority sectors, including healthcare and agriculture, in addition to other priority areas.
Al-Sawafeen emphasized that developing and introducing new training programs is a key component of the Corporation’s strategy to respond to rapid changes in the labor market. He explained that VTC is continuously reviewing and updating its training programs and curricula to reflect technological and professional developments as well as employers’ needs.
He noted that these efforts aim to equip trainees with practical, job-ready skills that enable them to compete effectively in the labor market. He also stressed the importance of partnership with the private sector in developing training programs and strengthening the connection between vocational training, practical work, and labor market requirements.
A Training Environment Combining Knowledge and Practical Application
The training environment at the Vocational Training Corporation continues to develop through the provision of specialized training workshops and theoretical classrooms equipped in accordance with vocational training requirements. This provides trainees with an integrated training environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application and enables them to practice vocational skills under conditions that simulate real workplace environments.

He added that the diversity of beneficiaries of VTC’s programs, including holders of secondary school certificates, diplomas, and bachelor’s degrees, reflects the broader vision of vocational training as an option for developing skills, acquiring a new profession, and pursuing professional retraining, in addition to its important role in enhancing opportunities to enter the labor market.

The Vocational Training Corporation provides trainees with a range of benefits, most notably a monthly transportation allowance and an accredited vocational training certificate upon successfully completing the program and fulfilling all theoretical and practical requirements.
The Corporation also provides field training opportunities at approved workplaces, allowing trainees to strengthen their skills and gain practical experience in real work environments. In addition, trainees may have the opportunity to obtain employment with partner organizations, according to labor market needs and the trainee’s fulfillment of the program requirements.
As part of its support for applicants, the Corporation provides career guidance counselors at its institutes to assist applicants in selecting the training program that best matches their interests and capabilities, answering their questions, and providing information about available programs and registration procedures.
Electronic Registration Open Until October 1, 2026
Registration will remain open until Thursday, October 1, 2026, with the new training year scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
