In alignment with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision (2025–2028), the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), led by Director General Dr. Ahmad Al-Gharaibeh, hosted an official Canadian delegation headed by Mr. Jean-Claude D’Amours, Minister of Post-Secondary Education in New Brunswick, and Ms. Dana MacKenzie, Deputy Minister, Department of Health and wellness in Nova Scotia. The meeting brought together representatives from Jadara University and the Middle East Aviation Academy to discuss a strategic partnership focused on launching joint vocational training programs tailored to the Canadian labor market. Priority sectors include healthcare, renewable energy, IT, tourism, electric and hybrid vehicle maintenance, aviation, and construction. Dr. Al-Gharaibeh emphasized the importance of this collaboration in empowering Jordanian youth and enhancing Jordan’s global position as a source of skilled labor. Both sides agreed to begin concrete steps toward long-term agreements, including curriculum alignment, institute twinning, and facilitating job placements for Jordanian graduates in Canada.
