Following the success of the first phase with three specializations (electrician/renewable energy, baking, and electric/hybrid vehicle maintenance), the Vocational Training Corporation and GIZ announced the launch of the second phase, "FAST TRACK," of the dual vocational training program in Germany.
To expand partnerships and attract more youth, 11 training programs are now offered:
1. General Electrician
2. Auto Mechanic
3. Refrigeration Technology Electrician
4. Metal Industry Technician
5. Installation and Maintenance of Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Systems Technician
6. Hearing Aid Technician
7. Optician
8. Dental Technician
9. Textile Cleaning Machine Operator
10. Baker
11. Pastry Chef
To qualify for the preparatory phase, candidates must have an A2 level in German, with the preparatory phase including a B1 German language course and a 5-month career orientation session in Jordan. Applicants must be Jordanian, aged 18-34, have at least a secondary school certificate, and be committed to a 3.5-year vocational training program in Germany.
The dual vocational training phase in Germany lasts 3.5 years, with training at an accredited vocational center and a private sector company, a monthly stipend of at least €934, health insurance, and annual raises.
To enter this phase, candidates must complete the B1 German language course, pass language tests, obtain a certified B1 level, and pass job interviews with German companies.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghraibeh, Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation, stated the goal is to provide employment opportunities for Jordanian youth and achieve economic modernization targets. This program offers the best vocational training globally, opening job opportunities in Germany or other countries with a certified German vocational qualification.
